The Voices in Our Heads....

Today is another fairly good day - I can sense and feel change all around me. I know it is leading in the right direction because I am directing it with my every thought, exercise, diet, fasting and each of these little things I do throughout my day.

Actually it's kind of a nice feeling - to have the power within our own lives - to finally feel as if we are somehow the master of our own fate. One thing that has been coming up repeatedly for me over these past few days is my intuition.

And that is one of the most important ways that I know I am off and running (and not down a blind alley) with all the areas in my life I have been working on for so long. Our intuitions are so much more than an inner voice....

And it's not always a voice in our heads. Although I do have those (shhh!), but it's more of a body sense, an inner knowing - it can be a word that just pops up into our awareness, and even a voice, but a very gentle subtle one.

Our bodies use all of our abilities and capacity for communication. If one area is blocked, it can and will be taken over by something a bit sinister (or very dark indeed) this is the overmind I refer to from time to time.

Our mission (should we choose to accept) is to overcome the over mind - it is attached right down into our nervous systems and this is quite a task - oh, but it's worth it! Can you imagine being in tune with nature to such an extant as to hear her breathe and whisper your name?

So, I like to think of these intuitive senses as a built in guidance system - sort of like the sat nav in a car (I would never have one, however...) we also have an inner map that shows us where to go. And most importantly - how to get 'where' we need to go.

What is required of us - on a daily basis - is to practice trust, faith, discernment - I would never say to stop questioning because this is all part of learning what you are listening to. Mainly because there are many voices which have overlaid our own.

Our intuition will sound nothing like those other voices - our body will not be confused or distracted by it and somehow things will fall into place because of our paying attention. When we are tuned into our bodies - our minds and spirits tend to align with purpose and life becomes more meaningful.

This is important work to be doing and it's worth the effort we are expected to put into it.

What kind of year are you planning on having?

It really all is about remembering who we are, finding our selves again after so long and then allowing those returning parts of us to rejoin and open up. Today is the last day of Christmas - Three Kings Day or Little Christmas here in Ireland.

And of course a feast day for us - the twelfth day of this lovely season usually is celebrated in a traditional sense with a spicy drink and a meal. And as this is an official way to mark the ending of something - the trees come down.

It's hard to believe we are already into 2013 and moving forward into another year of..... what? For some this will be another few months of nothingness and the same old version of each and every year. While for others, those who have been working hard at putting their dreams into a framework - things may just start to fall into place...

But either way, there is an opportunity for great change - we stand with the door open to opportunity - however we must be willing to take a chance and walk through to the other side. So, I guess the key word here is trust.

When we are asked to trust in something outside of ourselves - life becomes quite difficult. If I have learned anything over these past few years it's this single thing...I am to trust in my body, mind and soul to take me where I need to go (read my free birth story).

One of the main reasons I am doing these detoxes is to get back into places, spaces and regions of my body I have long been pushed out of (or have never even occupied). Once I am back in there, my task is to get to know that part of me and then to trust in my body to do all it needs to do.

Of course any type of inflammation will push you out of your body - and this is one of the most prevalent problems in our world right now. We are all walking around with varying degrees of low level chronic dysfunction due to poor diet, lack of exercise and taking medications which create this situation.

We will find it increasingly more difficult to trust when we are out of our bodies in any way... and even more so, as long as we take these poisons that lock the doors...

It's time to choose...trust in your body, listen to it's needs and make the changes necessary for health or carry on and have another year just like the last ones....

Trust, Persistance and Determination

Unofficially it is day 3 of my little detox - I still feel as if I am keeping this a fairly low profile - I haven't even told myself yet! LOL And I am still only taking in water... perhaps today I will make some cleanse juice and get this show on the road.

However, it does feel nice to just have some space and time to quietly reflect as I walk this path on my own. No one else in the house is joining me on this cleanse for a few days yet. So it feels like this is a part I have all to myself.

It's kind of nice too - but for some strange reason I had been thinking it would be far harder to go it alone. I am so used to having the camaraderie of others when I do these cleanses. Perhaps walking this first week or so on my own will provide me with insights and time to process through things not touched on otherwise.

Yesterday was definitely a testing day - my patience and ability to persist at what I choose to do have been put to the test. It all started with the goats....they are such lovely creatures but stubborn and of course we are all just getting to know each other.

Getting these goats back into their stalls in the evening has been hit and miss - a couple of times they just walked right in and settled down. However the rest of the time - no way. They were not going in until they felt it was time and that was final.

So, persistence and patience all round - of course then I was questioning the wisdom of having such large animals at this time. Falling back to an old pattern of thinking - the things I want to do and have are not the best.

But of course they are. This is simply a learning curve for us and them as we all get to know each other.  For the most part I think they were testing me to see how far they could push while they figure out what kind of people we are.

Perhaps this is the kind of persistence we all need - they were interested in the trees and shrubs in the paddock. Nothing was going to take them from their snack - not even a treat. Once it grew dark, they were ready to go into the barn for the night.

Simple really. If we had that same kind of determination and focus - but at the same time trust that the warm safe place is there at the end of the day - it might all just work out perfectly.

Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust...

I have picked a date for my next Master Cleanse and am already thinking about a theme, goal and focus for this detox. I know I want to do a little longer this time - perhaps 12 days or so, just to pick up the pace a little bit.

As for a focus - there are still energy blocks I am working on but also deeper things that have come up to the surface as a result of all the other work I am doing. Perhaps mostly relating back to inner balance, trust and belief in the bigger picture.

I have always trusted - my body is the number one source of all healing, inner guidance and forward momentum. However, this trust has long been around being healthy, healing up when needed and keeping body and soul together.

Now, it seems as if this level of trust, faith or self-belief is being extended into other regions of my body, mind and spirit. I am being asked to have faith in my purpose, mission or reason for being here on this planet. Of course these instructions are carried deeply within the DNA of our cells, but it still seems as if we have to rely on something more intangible.

This is like waking up in a new house - you might know where you are, but it's still not familiar and that puts you out of your comfort zone. Of course, being out of our element simply means we are about to learn something, doesn't it?

As you can see there is a lot happening at the moment, not just for me, but for those of us asking questions, seeking answers and walking this path to the very end. It has been said that in the end all will be revealed - lately I have had a funny feeling, as if I am peering into an open book, but can't yet read the words.

Late next week I hope to begin my next Master Cleanse for October - right now I am fasting day on/day off - and feeling great. I have been keeping up with pretty much everything including my projects and my exercise. So all systems are go.

Let's see what this day brings, shall we?

Have a good one,

Creating Change - Positive Movement on the Spiritual Path

Today is a food day, I broke my fast this morning and have had a nice breakfast and some wonderful dandelion coffee - the sky has cleared (inside and out) and it is a nice feeling once again to feel, see and sense immediate results of my efforts.

It was a bit of a tough mini cleanse this time around, the first couple of days I had a lot of deep pain in my bones (I have had this a lot in my life) as if something was coming up and out. I felt pretty good otherwise but just kept moving as much as possible to keep energy flowing.

Each cleanse or fast day as well as any food day is quite different from each other - there are so many layers, levels and dimensions of our human bodies that need to be incorporated into the detox, that this can only take place over considerable amounts of time.

We tend to think that change happens very slowly, however, change is taking place at a constant rate as long as we are pushing towards our hopes, dreams and goals. One thing that I have noticed recently is that once I decided to give my entire attention to my heart's desires - the rate of transformation in my life speeded up.

I have been talking about removing obstacles to my dreams for quite some time and have been actively working at breaking down these walls, once an opening was created, decisions needed to be made as to which way to move. There is absolutely no point in wanting to open a new inner door only to not take immediate action with what you find inside.

Following a dream means aligning with your passions, which also entails taking the time to know yourself. Once you commit to walking the talk in support of your purpose or destiny, anything that your heart (mind, body and soul) is asking you to do must be listened to and acted upon. There are a few elements involved in this process;

Trust - anytime I am taking a step forward in faith, I am reminded by my heart to just trust that I have not come this far to be let down. Failure is not an option along this spiritual path.

The next key word here is follow through, once space is created for change to take place (inside or outside) in your life, you must take action or something else will come in and fill this void. This is an energetic law, create a vacuum and it will be filled, it's best to fill it yourself.

Another important part of the overall equation is that the purpose of cleansing, detoxing and self mastery is to overcome anything that might hold you back or otherwise stand in the way of your direct path onwards and upwards. For most of us this is addiction of any kind including caffeine, sugar and negativity.

Do not let fear hold you back (especially the fears of others), this creates resistance inside of your mind and body taking the place of love pushing you aside and off track. Finding and connecting with your own love is also a vital component because this is the force that will propel you forward towards creating your dreams.

I hope the sun is shining where ever you are,

April

Getting Back to Myself

I no longer think in terms of being normal, I mean, who wants to be normal anyway, if that means to eat, drink and live mindlessly? No, I am quite happy with my day on/day off fasting while eating, living and being conscious of all that I am.

The physical task of uncovering my heart and soul has taken a long time and it has taught me an incredible amount about myself and the world around me - in particular my relationship with it. I have mentioned here on this blog a few times that there are distinctions to be made between the degrees and levels of inner communication.

Prayer is talking with god
Exercise is being with god
Fasting is walking with god

Each of these are perhaps one and the same in some ways - yet parts of the process of finding and accessing spirit take extraordinary trust, effort and willingness to believe in what is unseen. As an intuitive, seeing is not believing, that would only cause me to question more deeply.

Each day I am taken further into the garden where trust comes about only by believing that the path is in front of you, the bridge is under your feet and that there will be help along the way. For me re-connecting with the old ways of water fasting, herbs and clean living has served to deepen my ability to trust in every aspect of my body.

These past two days post Master Cleanse have been transformational for me in many ways - I have had decisions to make regarding how I would like to move forward as well as the usual cutting of ties that hold me back. I am standing right now at the edge of a cliff and I plan to cross over - living this way (food, fast & feast) has brought me here and is leading me home.

The sun has finally come out in West Cork,

April
