I'm Glad I Didn't Listen…..

Now, don’t get me wrong – there are indeed times I listen to others and carefully evaluate their opinions – people have various experience that I do not yet have and it is really appreciated when some advice is carefully given.

However, there are times (my family would say, all the time!) when I march to my own beat, listen to my own inner voice and don’t give a hoot about what anyone else has to say about it.

In so many instances I am so glad I didn’t listen to others and my life, my current state of happiness is living proof, that listening to myself and my own inner guidance system is what matters most.

There. I said it. Did you hear that?

It’s kind of like the computer prompt when writing in Word – it wants to change the word you are trying to write to something else….how the hell does it know what you need to say? And why on earth would you let it, or anyone for that matter, override your self-expression?

So, what has brought on all of this?

Well, this week is my anniversary (this year is 25 years together) and my constant reminder of the single most important reason in my life where I am glad I didn’t listen to absolutely anyone…..because if I had, well, we wouldn’t be together.

And, I wouldn’t be walking this spiritual path with my family. My life would have been very different and in all likelihood, I would not have made it through illnesses at all. I, we, have come through so very much and it is because we are together.

It’s a great start to the week….and I’m. Not. Listening. (smile)

The Voices in Our Heads....

Today is another fairly good day - I can sense and feel change all around me. I know it is leading in the right direction because I am directing it with my every thought, exercise, diet, fasting and each of these little things I do throughout my day.

Actually it's kind of a nice feeling - to have the power within our own lives - to finally feel as if we are somehow the master of our own fate. One thing that has been coming up repeatedly for me over these past few days is my intuition.

And that is one of the most important ways that I know I am off and running (and not down a blind alley) with all the areas in my life I have been working on for so long. Our intuitions are so much more than an inner voice....

And it's not always a voice in our heads. Although I do have those (shhh!), but it's more of a body sense, an inner knowing - it can be a word that just pops up into our awareness, and even a voice, but a very gentle subtle one.

Our bodies use all of our abilities and capacity for communication. If one area is blocked, it can and will be taken over by something a bit sinister (or very dark indeed) this is the overmind I refer to from time to time.

Our mission (should we choose to accept) is to overcome the over mind - it is attached right down into our nervous systems and this is quite a task - oh, but it's worth it! Can you imagine being in tune with nature to such an extant as to hear her breathe and whisper your name?

So, I like to think of these intuitive senses as a built in guidance system - sort of like the sat nav in a car (I would never have one, however...) we also have an inner map that shows us where to go. And most importantly - how to get 'where' we need to go.

What is required of us - on a daily basis - is to practice trust, faith, discernment - I would never say to stop questioning because this is all part of learning what you are listening to. Mainly because there are many voices which have overlaid our own.

Our intuition will sound nothing like those other voices - our body will not be confused or distracted by it and somehow things will fall into place because of our paying attention. When we are tuned into our bodies - our minds and spirits tend to align with purpose and life becomes more meaningful.

This is important work to be doing and it's worth the effort we are expected to put into it.

Joy of Free Expression....

It's now day 8 of my cleanse - and things are starting to break through to the other side...or perhaps they always were there, I am only now recognizing and seeing what has become much clearer to me. And, that feeling is like finding a hole in the clouds for your head to surface....

As far a detox symptoms go, I have some - coated tongue, bumpy skin, loads of dreams and moments of great insight throughout the day. I have lots of energy and have increased my Yoga and exercise accordingly to improve my level of fitness.

That is what I would have to say is one of the greatest benefits to cleansing in general - the increases in energy and ability (craving for!) to do more exercise such as Yoga. And I really enjoy this part of the detox because I can feel the movements taking me more deeply into my tissues.

Of course that is precisely what a cleanse is all about. Creating a way to get back into all these spaces and places you have been pushed out of. I cannot say enough about exercise in general and would never go without it.

So on to my dreams - I have long been interested in dreaming in general and have had many fantastic experiences through my dreams over the years. Actually my earliest memories from my childhood, when I was 3 years old are of my dreams - then making the mistake of mentioning them to the family who raised me! They were of my past lives and did not go over well.

I think for a time following that experience, I probably shut some of them down as I gradually tried to distance myself from 'myself'. But, being an intuitive, that never really worked because what I saw, heard and understood inside and outside of myself - I knew to be real.

And here I am...only now taking back more parts of my inner child and her fabulous dreams!

Nervous System Clean Out

Today is a regular food day for us after finishing the 10 day cleanse and we are now pretty much back to normal eating - while all the pieces of the intense detox are still falling into place. With our Blue Moon Feast coming up on Friday and the weekend, I am keeping the food low key for now.

After each of these Master Cleanses, I always spend a few days reflecting on what was learned, where I need to go now, actions to be taken and how to keep moving forward in every positive way. This week is not any different from other times, except I do seem to be more focused on smaller details in life.

The main change I have noticed since coming off of the cleanse is my inner communication, nervous system and in-born senses are clearer, cleaner and sharper. As an intuitive, my senses (smell, taste, hearing, touch, sight etc.) are all pretty keen, and I have always heard voices (don't tell anyone), had visions and an abundance of dreams.

However, this is something different, the only way I could begin to describe it might be to say my nerves are cleaner - they must be detoxed a bit because inside I am 'hearing' myself more and therefore able to listen more easily.

I have long been able to listen, sense and feel my own body on several different levels, and I had honestly felt it could not get any better then when I let go of the Night Shades a few years ago. Once that toxic group of fruits (potato, tomato, aubergine, chillies, peppers, gogi berries) had gone from my system, hearing/listening/communicating with my inner worlds was like night and day.

And now, it has ramped up yet again. The main thing I can put this down to is my absolute commitment to following my dreams no matter where they may take me. Perhaps with this last detox, I had finally removed the distractions holding me to a pattern going in the wrong direction.

So today, I am feeling great - loads of energy, working out, feeling physically very strong, controlled, disciplined and clear. All the things necessary to walk a spiritual path and perhaps start enjoying some of the scenery along the way!

Well, I am off the see the Wizard,
