What if everything you have been told about your body is WRONG?

What if……we were able to take a few things we ‘think’ we know about our bodies, our health and living on this planet in general and look at them a little differently?

For, instance, are we really meant to age? What if we are, but not in an accelerated falling apart, memory losing, decline that we currently face…. With most of humanity sliding into home base barely holding it all together after 70 or 80 short years?

To age might mean something altogether different if we were living in a healthy chemical free, non-gmo body.

Maybe, our bodies are perfectly designed to seal, heal and repair quickly and efficiently. So why don’t they? Just where does this leaky gut, allergy syndrome, inflammation, chronic pain, wear and tear damage come from and why doesn’t it ‘heal’?

What is the hold up inside of our bodies and why does life take us from energetic youth into breakdown mode so quickly…..what if it’s just not supposed to be this way?

Perhaps, we are here for a long time as well as a ‘feel’ good time. Shouldn’t we feel good, maybe great, enjoy wellness – bordering on fabulous, at least some of the time….ahhh, yes, but we must be healthy first.

Then, just like nature outside of us, it is also in us. Therefore, our bodies are self cleaning, self regulating and perfect ecosystems of balanced life – always striving to maintain and find that inner homeostasis.

We should crave balance….

What if only water, real food (as opposed to rubbish…), herbs, fresh air and nature – is the cure for all that ails us? Using anything else just shunts the symptoms around, buries us in toxins and interferes with the healing process.

Just saying….

Perfection in Nature....Honey Bees

These summer days are a godsend….there is such warmth and delight in a carefree sunny day. Actually, the years of rain on end seem like a distant memory for most of us right now (thankfully!) because we had forgotten what blue sky was like.

I don’t know about you, but I have also loved watching summer blossom and come into it’s own this year. Perhaps because for the past few years I have only watched from the window through the sheets of rain – venturing out in wellies and coat to work in the garden.

So, this brings me to my garden – yesterday the most extraordinary thing happened for us…but first I will tell you a story.

We have bees. We like bees and for the most part they seem to like us too. But, there is nothing quite like bees choosing to come to you. With this in mind, each summer we put out our old nucs (bee boxes) with some old honey comb in it just to see if we can attract a wild swarm.

Mostly – scout bees come around, take a look, spend days cleaning out the old comb and then leave. We hadn’t heard about many swarms over the years as the bees are in serious decline, in fact – and they appeared to be getting rarer in our vicinity.

Ever hopeful, this year was no different. We have several bee boxes around the place (the chickens are laying in one of them!) with one strategically located on the corner of my herb garden.

I have been watching a few bees coming and going for the past week or so around the herb garden bee box – which is entirely usual as they check things out. Then they all went away and we didn’t see anything for a full day, until…..

Yesterday almost exactly at noon (it was another warm bright sunny day) we could hear them coming – it was as if I was standing in the middle of a hive. The bees massed overhead in a cloud and then moved over to the herb garden.

In an almost perfect spiral they moved downwards over about 10 minutes or so as they filled the nuc box and sorted out their new digs. In the meantime we were all standing around the herb garden in absolute awe at this entire process unfolding before our eyes.

We tried to get photos and a video – but nothing was charged up enough – and I didn’t have the presence of mind to get a mobile phone. I guess it was just one of those things….

An unbelievable display of the workings of nature – and I am so impressed.

Everything Looks Different....In A New Light

Another sunny day here…it’s just endless!! And we couldn’t be happier about it. The entire world just seems to be a much better place with all of this sunlight and warmth…

It’s actually quite amazing how much we get from the sun…all of life requires light to grow (in some manner) and with that comes energy. This sunshine, that we had nearly forgotten about is bringing with it the energy of hope.

Over these last few years of darkness, we have had time to contemplate all that we are and where we need to be going…at least some of us have!! In between the whining and moaning about the terrible weather that is…

But, we might have actually learned a few things about ourselves – that only a recession could teach us.

One thing that stands out to me in particular is the amazing strength of the human spirit – people with nothing left to lose take risks and chances others might pass by.

Will power, perseverance, persistence and determination will eventually pay off – as long as you don’t give up. Place your trust within, align with forces of nature and see where it takes you.

When you get used to jumping and leaping forward without a safety net – you learn to trust that higher power in a new and different way. Besides, you also learn to fall gently and get back up quickly!

With this return of the sun in our lives, the return of life in our bodies should become evident very quickly. Life begets life in this instance…without the sun we were slowly withering while wandering around without clear direction.

Shed a little light on something – then stand back and watch your life transform.

It’s like magic

You Know that You 'Know' - It's Written in Your DNA

I have been taking a mental break for a few days…at least that’s what I think it was! Perhaps I just stood back a little from everything in order to gain a new perspective…either way I have not written down a single word in about 3 days.

That’s my new record! LOL

But, I am back and ready to talk again about this crazy world we all call home. One of the few pleasures in life is to be able to speak freely about the things that really matter to us and which are on our minds.

Of course the way things are right now and this current environment of fear (has it really ever been different?) has us all clammed up pretty tightly. I honestly don’t think anyone says what they mean or mean what they say.

And that brings me right back to where I started from….the point of talking, writing and perhaps even being here is to walk, live, act, work and BE – as if we mean it. Part of that would entail speaking up about things that are important to us.

So many wrongs are done around the planet each and every second of the day – we have mostly turned a blind eye to it. Perhaps thinking – sure, what can I do about it? And for the most part we are right…unless…

We pluck up the courage to just say one thing each day, or to act differently just once in a while – deliberately drawing attention to a situation, relationship, area of our lives where we see something clearly, is not right.

If I was to start with anything in my own personal scope of life, I might say --- don’t think for one minute there is anything that you don’t know…about the world, life, the Universe around us, how to look after ourselves in this place.

And what is to come….

All of this, knowledge, information, ancient wisdom resides inside – twisted away within our genetic fingerprint. Our DNA contains infinite and ample directions or guidelines on everything we need to live fully on this planet.

And our survival during adverse, toxic conditions.

What we need to do is align with nature…after all, the energy of the earth is our own…

Life Is Gathering Around Us....

Change is in the air again today and there is always something new to be marveled at. One of the things that has become most important to me while walking this path – is to pay close attention to nature. It's everywhere!

And right now there is not a better time to be completely in touch with the world around us – it’s spring and life is right there in front of us. It’s hard to miss all the bright colours, the buds, the sprouts and the lovely looking flowers.

So….eat up! This is the best time of the year to get back into your body in a grounded, gentle kind of way. It’s also about new beginnings, the start of the year really is now – all of life seems to gather itself around us – forcing us higher.

If you have been enjoying your green nibbles from the garden in any way, your energy field is healing from the harsh winter spent inside as well as any long term damage from toxins and old self-defeating patterns.

Of course, all change starts with the energy around us (and within us) and these shifts will spill over into the emotional, spiritual and eventually physical re-patterning we have been reaching for.

All it takes is for our bodies to be shown a simpler, healthier and better way to live – or perhaps to find life again – and we are off, into that higher realm we have been dreaming of.

Is it any wonder when we speak of our dreams we refer to them in terms of how high they are, within our reach and lofty places….in order to raise up to where they are, we must work together with nature….

It’s a part of us we can no longer ignore – not if we want to walk further up this spiritual path.

A Table in the Sun

There are days when you learn something profound about yourself and the universe and then days when it seems as if life has passed you by. Today was a day of great insight and shifting for me – I spent most of it fasting….

Whenever I need to get to the bottom of some issue or another I usually do a few things to get the energy moving around it. One of the easiest for me is to fast, I exercise daily and that helps too as well as getting out into nature.

Today I was mulling a few things over in my mind about the earth and how she is responding (or we are responding to her energy shifts). I have been thinking about this spring season - all of the life around us and how these plants just know what to do as soon as the weather changes.

No one has to tell the plants to grow or the birds to fly home or for the creatures to build nests. They just know – as the earth warms with the heat of the sun all of life revives, finding a place for itself.

We are no different – spring should be awakening in us those same urges to nest, to go home, to put down roots and grow. What is also can bring into our conscious awareness is that we are not forgotten about when it comes to natures’ plan.

The birds go out and find their food – seeds, plants and nibbles there to nourish them. Plants have minerals, water and the richness of the soil to count on for their fuel – taking what they need and giving so much back.

Why should we be any different? Perhaps we have forgotten so much of ourselves in our rush to be civilized….our food – the things we require to detox, clear out and rebuild bodies after a long winter are equally available.

We only have to pull up a chair at nature’s table.

Standing in Your Own Power

We are truly nearing the end of this feast season and it feels as if the year itself is winding down - it certainly does seem to be going out with a bit of a bang so far. Storms and extreme weather coinciding with special dates on the calendar ..... hmmm. Interesting.

Perhaps at the end of the day it is no accident that such a huge storm system (an energy changer for sure) rolls into the world when ever things are being shaken up and altered. The earth does ultimately work alongside us and is obvious to those who care to pay attention.

To think that this living organism we reside on is but a passive observer to all the happenings for good or ill - would be such a waste of a connection. Of course she is involved, perhaps even far more than we realize.

Today in the aftermath of natures' forces, at the very least we are humbled while many are pulling together to get lives back to normal. Or, is that even be the option here? Normal life. What does that mean exactly?

Perhaps if this means living in such a manner that when a storm comes rolling in and slams into us - we cannot cope with heat, light, food and basic needs because of the circumstances we have placed ourselves into.

By this I mean - a number of years ago my intuition told me to get out of living in a town or city. Move to the country, work at raising my own food, have a well, a separate heat source and in general live sustainably. Off the food grid as much as possible.

We have taken years building ourselves up to this as far as skill learning, obtaining tools, livestock, education and developing our own methods and ideas. For the most part, a lifestyle such as this is driven by a desire to be healthy. Of course, there are other advantages.

These storms will come - are they more ferocious and extreme at this time? Perhaps. However, no matter what you believe, life might become increasingly difficult for many who are left high and dry without the means to heat their houses or to get clean water because of this weather.

Basics such as these are a must - and perhaps we must do far more for ourselves in this regard. When you find yourself in a position of not needing to out source infrastructure because you have developed your own - you are standing in your own power.

It's a great place to be!
