Working Towards Something....Getting Your Energy Moving

Learning how to pay attention to what is important or even what is happening around us is one of life’s vital lessons. Of course so is patience and listening…perhaps these are all linked in some way?

I often say to people, if you want to know what is happening with you – watch your children, look at your family, your relationships and the people you see on a regular basis. But, don’t overlook your pets and the area (garden) surrounding you as well.

In other words pay attention to your energy field. This is the cloud of energy that is generated and moving (for the most part) around your body. When some part of this energy field is not working in any way….then we are stuck.

Feeling and being stuck is one of the worst things known to our humanity. Our energy becomes stagnant, chronic conditions will develop, anxiety and frustration levels rise and we fail to thrive.

This failure to thrive has got to be the worst experience for us as spiritual beings. Mostly because we know things could be much better, we are more then capable of creating and generating change.

Yet, when this change doesn’t happen – and it carries on day after day, year after year….we run the risk of giving up or worse. Giving in.

So, what to do about all of this I’msostuckIcouldcry business…it certainly appears as if a whole lot of us are in the same boat…well, we could begin by rocking that boat.

Do a few things you have never done before. Be like a tree; aim for the sky, go out on a limb, branch out and grow towards the light. Whatever your circumstances are, there is always a way forward…..

However, this way might be blocked (as in your energy field) but that doesn’t mean there is nothing you can do. To remove energy blocks – get your physical body moving, open your mind by doing something new, nourish your spirit with nature and make some changes to your normal routine.

It does take time, work and effort….but it’s far better to be working towards something, then to sit there in the same place doing nothing.

Journey to the Centre of the Earth....

Today is my first day back doing a cleanse - and I feel pretty good. I also have a great theme this time around too - and last night dreamt all about it. Of course it is along the lines of another blocked area of my life/body - which is where our focus should be.

The easiest and best way to approach each detox is to seek a reconnection with your life and body. Our bodies are amazing mechanisms for showing us exactly where the work is to be done. If some area is tight, stiff or inflamed - you can be fairly certain there is a corresponding area in your life with the exact same symptoms.

I often say if your body is not working inside - your life is not working outside.

The best (and easiest) way to fix, heal and change this situation - in a shorter period of time and with concentrated effort is to do a cleanse for a few days and see where it takes you. Of course while you are clearing out your body of toxins and debris it is also a great idea to exercise.

This daily bout of exercise works together with the cleanse to open up systems, organs and tissues as the body reduces it's toxic load. I cannot stress this enough - once these tissues are clearing, you need to get back in there and reclaim the area, through regular exercise.

Your body is not any different then anything else in this life - if you have left the building or are not using some aspect of yourself, someone or something else will come in and take over. Unfortunately this is not unusual and we all have pockets of stagnant energy in our bodies.

Right now my plan is to clear out another deeper level of my body - carrying on from my last detox which accomplished so much. This is a bit like a journey to the centre of the earth! LOL However, you never know what you might find on your way and it certainly will be exciting....

I am on my way

Removing Pockets of Stagnant Energy...

We are getting into the final days of our cleanse and feeling pretty good...I have been mentioning all along how I am using Yoga this time around to deepen my experience and get things moving in my body tissues and cells.

Right now after all of this time doing more intensive Yoga, as often as I can along with pushing myself a little each time to go deeper - I am feeling far more peaceful, calm and balanced then I have in a long time. Even with all that is taking place around me, there is a certain centredness.

Speaking of energy moving, last night was quite a storm - actually it probably started on Friday and doesn't seem to be over yet. The wind and rain was fierce - sort of like natures way of clearing, cleansing and removing pockets of stagnant energy....

I love that kind of weather - well, as long as we get some sun in between! Right now the sun is shining but the air is still cold and the wind is still high. It's a perfect day to contemplate our place in the midst of it all and how best we can serve the earth.

For a long time I have been thinking along the lines of the small things - it's each of those little things that we do on a daily basis which not only make a difference in our own lives but in the lives of those around us too.

How often would we remember to smile at our children? And for those of you so inclined, don't pull shop bought bread off of a shelf and feed it to them (there are actual warnings against feeding that stuff to swans!) instead, plan to make your own.

Our families and those around us we love dearly will remember these little things - far more then any of the events from outside of us. Of course so too does your body - all the small ways you go about caring for yourself on a daily basis build up to solid, grounded energy and a healthy life force.

Yes, today is a day to care for each other in all ways....

No Grass Under My Feet!

Have you ever been behind a tractor or a slow moving vehicle when you have an appointment to get to? Or just somewhere to be and feel frustrated to be so slowed down by someone else and their agenda? Well, let me tell you! LOL

This has been the story of my life and last week came to a head for us as we were headed to the city for an appointment with plenty of time - or so we thought. What a lesson in slowness or being slowed down by others we got to have, but were also made to be late for our own plans...

It did not seem fair to us (who had planned well in advance) and gave me lots to consider along the way. It was so obvious as to be absurd! Here was the breakdown of events;

We first had a large tractor with a huge tailback of about 20 cars - he was oblivious to us. Then a slow moving car with people doing 60km/hr in a 100km/hr zone on a main road. Next there was a tailback of about 100 cars going into a town, at first we thought there must be some accident or something up ahead - but no, there were 2 people at two different locations collection money for a charity! Then there was a bicycle race... And the list went on from there.....LOL

What gave me pause for thought was how this had become the story of my life - and to a certain extent I not only let it be my story, I also expected it. I have become so used to being held back (this started at age 5 for me in school - kept back from skipping a grade and spending years bored silly) that now, I have become accustomed to it.

So, this week has given me a new mantra, mission and an entire new set of goals. To uncover each and every way I am being held back by circumstances or my own lack of insight and to take steps to get things moving or get them in motion. In the direction I want them to go.

First things first though - I have been making a list of all the little jobs around me that need to be done to clear off my desk and mind so that I can free up the stagnant energy...

No grass under my feet anymore!
