There Are Benefits to Being A Lunatic!

So, it's the day before Solstice and perhaps the most auspicious date to come is just around the corner - of course any one who is preparing for 'something' is being referred to as a prepper or a lunatic.... I personally feel that there is something in the air, however, I happen to feel it's all good.

A few weeks ago someone I know heard me discussing my new goats and our efforts to learn about milking and animal care - I was made fun of and asked if I was preparing for a nuclear holacost. From wanting to give my children pesticide free milk (stretch that to the end of the world disaster) to something catastrophic happening!

It left me wondering who was the lunatic here - people like me who insist on and then take steps towards providing their families with better food (building stronger bodies) to those who have their heads firmly in the sand telling others a little bit of poison is alright.

So, you can see where my head is at right now - LOL. If you want to be proactive and prepare for an end of the world type of scenario, you can start today by cleaning up your diet. Planting a garden, raising your own ducks, learning a few new skills, take your health care into your own hands, exercise....

Who knows, you might just amaze yourself with all this new information and create a new lease on life by taking things back to simpler eating and cleaner living. The side benefits to being a 'lunatic' are also fantastic - we are all enjoying great health, renewed energy, increased vitality, glowing skin and shiny noses.

Then there is the way our personal relationships have altered - we spend more time together as a family, we talk and discuss ways and means of being more efficient with electricity, water, food and gardening. We encourage our children to come up with new ideas on any of these things we are doing and our homeschooling has produced happy well adjusted kids who are having a ball with life (and a real childhood).

I don't know folks - so far being 'prepared' for living here on this planet is working out for us. How's your life working for you?

Education at Home

Today has been a lovely one so far - sun is coming through the clouds every now and then and the energy feels good after all of that rain last night. It was a bit of a clearing all right! The wind and rain always seems to usher in change of some sort.

It seems I have been talking about change constantly over these past few weeks - and I am not certain exactly what is different, but nothing feels the same. I think these changes are taking place more or less on a very deep level.

Perhaps even on a soul level - digging up the old bones of patterns carried for lifetimes and finally letting them go. A lot has been coming to the surface for me around education and I have been writing, thinking and talking about it.

Education is vitally important for us all - of course the sort of education one decides on seeking out is equally important. My own experience was not at all good - I have long complained that I never learned anything worthwhile and finished high school not knowing even the basics of life.

I also can see at this stage of my life how damaging the institutional process of education was for me. It was soul destroying - perhaps the last place I should have been was in a school full of bullies, frightened and needy people. I picked up on everything!

But, it would have been far worse to have stayed at home, so the only alternative was the way my life played itself out. And I have learned enough to watch it come full circle.

At least, now as an adult I have the insight gained from years of working my way through these things to see how beneficial it is to learn at home in a loving, safe, gentle environment -- nourishing for the entire body, mind and soul.

Even more than that, the things being taught are meaningful, useful and interesting for each person's needs and talents. Tailored to suit or made to order - and I am only talking about myself at this point.

Walking the spiritual path has long been teaching me all that I need to know for a rewarding life here on this planet. It is indeed a school we have come to, but alas one that has been commandeered by dark and evil forces.

It is long past time to take back, remember and have confidence in the old ways. They never let us down for thousands of years and if adhered to now,  they will enable a person to grow and emerge in spirit.

New Beginnings

Carrying on from yesterday, I am still feeling as if I have broken through to some newer level - almost as if the clouds have parted somewhat and there is a wide open sky before me. And all that is required of me is to treat each day like a new beginning.

The new beginning is one thing, routine, discipline and consistency are also part of this picture. It's funny how I know and work with my children and their studies with this same approach - routine with homeschool is very important for their learning to establish patterns.

However, I did not always apply this to myself and my own day. Not that my life was chaos, but it could be disordered and disappointing when I consistently put myself last. Of course this did nothing to help me feel better about achieving my own personal goals.

Now I feel as if I am naturally making routines and creating new patterns with each day since I finished my last Master Cleanse. I am just far more efficient with the house work, school work and my writing time. I can clearly see how old pattern were broken and dismantled.

Now, my life is as it should be, where it really all centers around focusing on the children. When I pay exquisite attention to them, their needs and learning - it all falls into place. The main reason for this is because they learn by example, so I have to do things first, for myself and then together with them.

For instance, I want everyone to exercise daily - we have a gym at home (we are each an exercise physiologist and personal trainer) - however, I would tend to go in there alone. For a little while now, I bring the children, they have their own program to follow and we all do our workouts.

The same with school work - I set them up with their lessons, then I have some time to do my own - writing, reading, research etc. All it takes is organization for the most part but also embracing a willingness to create something better for everyone involved.

Today once we are finished the lessons, our plan is to do some painting, drawing or art - until the rain stops and we can get out into the garden. Even the garden is going well - I had to learn to pull back and just let the kids plant, pull weeds and generally enjoy their garden too.

Even if that meant the baby plants were not deep enough, or some broken and at times the weeds being pulled are my herbs.... LOL So what, at the end of the day, I can go back and replant the Brussels Sprouts, however, my children will never have this time or day again - and neither will I.

Living this way, allows me to focus on what is important, to enjoy each day as it comes while I create a better tomorrow. Wonderful.
