Life Always Finds a Way

Today has been an interesting day to say the least. We never know these days what is going to come our way – and we have learned to just go with it as much as possible, but to not be passive at the same time.

It is always best to be actively involved in creating your life as you live it - even if you feel it is not your own - on some level, you are in control - or are struggling to regain control. Making decisions, dreaming and wishing are the best way forward...even if it takes some time to see the results.

I am happy to get up on these warmer mornings, however (LOL) and sometimes the sun is even shining, which is an added bonus. I have been wondering how much longer the entire country can hold out on such low Vitamin D stores.

One of the basics of life is adequate sunshine, not only for the peace, warmth and contentment it brings but also for those all important vitamins we cannot do without for very long. This year we are getting a little more sunshine and are hopeful for lots more.

Being spring there is so much on my mind at the moment (garden, cheese, goats, fresh eggs and milk, growing children) – all of earth is coming alive and I want to be in tune with that energy. Actually most of us crave and sense the earth’s energy – that’s why being out in nature is such a healing experience for us.

One of the first things to be realized about the nature that is around us – is it’s abundance. The earth is rich with life – and what is so wonderful about this life is that where there is life there is hope.

Life always finds a way.

A Table in the Sun

There are days when you learn something profound about yourself and the universe and then days when it seems as if life has passed you by. Today was a day of great insight and shifting for me – I spent most of it fasting….

Whenever I need to get to the bottom of some issue or another I usually do a few things to get the energy moving around it. One of the easiest for me is to fast, I exercise daily and that helps too as well as getting out into nature.

Today I was mulling a few things over in my mind about the earth and how she is responding (or we are responding to her energy shifts). I have been thinking about this spring season - all of the life around us and how these plants just know what to do as soon as the weather changes.

No one has to tell the plants to grow or the birds to fly home or for the creatures to build nests. They just know – as the earth warms with the heat of the sun all of life revives, finding a place for itself.

We are no different – spring should be awakening in us those same urges to nest, to go home, to put down roots and grow. What is also can bring into our conscious awareness is that we are not forgotten about when it comes to natures’ plan.

The birds go out and find their food – seeds, plants and nibbles there to nourish them. Plants have minerals, water and the richness of the soil to count on for their fuel – taking what they need and giving so much back.

Why should we be any different? Perhaps we have forgotten so much of ourselves in our rush to be civilized….our food – the things we require to detox, clear out and rebuild bodies after a long winter are equally available.

We only have to pull up a chair at nature’s table.

New Beginnings

Carrying on from yesterday, I am still feeling as if I have broken through to some newer level - almost as if the clouds have parted somewhat and there is a wide open sky before me. And all that is required of me is to treat each day like a new beginning.

The new beginning is one thing, routine, discipline and consistency are also part of this picture. It's funny how I know and work with my children and their studies with this same approach - routine with homeschool is very important for their learning to establish patterns.

However, I did not always apply this to myself and my own day. Not that my life was chaos, but it could be disordered and disappointing when I consistently put myself last. Of course this did nothing to help me feel better about achieving my own personal goals.

Now I feel as if I am naturally making routines and creating new patterns with each day since I finished my last Master Cleanse. I am just far more efficient with the house work, school work and my writing time. I can clearly see how old pattern were broken and dismantled.

Now, my life is as it should be, where it really all centers around focusing on the children. When I pay exquisite attention to them, their needs and learning - it all falls into place. The main reason for this is because they learn by example, so I have to do things first, for myself and then together with them.

For instance, I want everyone to exercise daily - we have a gym at home (we are each an exercise physiologist and personal trainer) - however, I would tend to go in there alone. For a little while now, I bring the children, they have their own program to follow and we all do our workouts.

The same with school work - I set them up with their lessons, then I have some time to do my own - writing, reading, research etc. All it takes is organization for the most part but also embracing a willingness to create something better for everyone involved.

Today once we are finished the lessons, our plan is to do some painting, drawing or art - until the rain stops and we can get out into the garden. Even the garden is going well - I had to learn to pull back and just let the kids plant, pull weeds and generally enjoy their garden too.

Even if that meant the baby plants were not deep enough, or some broken and at times the weeds being pulled are my herbs.... LOL So what, at the end of the day, I can go back and replant the Brussels Sprouts, however, my children will never have this time or day again - and neither will I.

Living this way, allows me to focus on what is important, to enjoy each day as it comes while I create a better tomorrow. Wonderful.

Another 3 Day Mini Cleanse Done

This is a great way to get some good quality fasting done in a short period of time and to focus my time and energy on a project or something that needs to be done. I really love the level of concentration that I am able to achieve during a fast and I think we are all benefiting from increased energy levels.

Today has been a busy one with getting chores done outside finally (it has stopped raining long enough) and into the garden to do the weeding. I love working in the garden and I will tell you why. It is the perfect analogy for the shadow side of the human energy field.

Going out into your garden is like moving around in the back of your body (the shadow) and when we are out there cleaning, clearing, planting, creating etc - this is just a perfect time to think about the things that are being worked on in our own lives.

For me, I have a medicinal herb garden, now many of my herbs are large enough for harvesting, drying and storing for use in teas. Others are ready to be separated into several plants and thinned out in general.

What might this tell me about myself? Perhaps that some projects are coming into their own or that some aspect of my life is taking shape and changing into a more useful form? And that parts of myself are growing and ready to be incorporated into my life more fully.

Have a look at your garden, even if it is a pot outside your door - what care have you given it and what can you do to work with it to create the life you choose to live?

This cleanse has been bringing up many things for me - with shadow work definitely on the increase but I have also been giving a lot of thought to consequences. This word has been on my mind for sometime and I have applied it to situations where it seems that people are committing crimes or doing wrong without any apparent negative results for themselves.

Instead the negativity is spread around to many others who then take on responsibilities that are not their own creating a very unbalanced and unfair situation. Those causing the problems are left to continue on without any apparent concern for anyone else. Any of this sound remotely familiar to you?

This has been happening far more then is reasonable and the pattern needs to be broken. Perhaps a good theme for my next fast day!

Have a nice weekend,

April
