Waves of Consciousness & Full Moon

I am still eating garlic! LOL

So, I finished 2 weeks of 3 days each week on several cloves of garlic and felt fantastic...almost like a big spring cleaning on the inside. Today we are still in long weekend mode, but I plan to get back to doing another garlic cleanse again this week.

It was that beneficial - almost as if this healing food went deeply into my tissues and helped me sort some things out. But, it's been that kind of month so far as well. As if I am in the middle of sorting things out.

Right now it all appears to be at the brain level - perhaps a brain detox is the best way to describe the action of garlic. I have experienced in the past how my head would immediately clear and feel free of clutter - a definite opening up in the cerebral cortex.

It is an awesome sensation of connectedness and clarity all at the same time.....

However, this weekend we decided to go all out and relax with feast meals and lots of goodies for the kids (well, us really!). And even a ceremonial fire last night to celebrate the full moon (Worm Moon - which draws worms up to the surface to feed the birds).

I love this time of year, spring is all about life, spontaneous regeneration of physical matter with the earth coming into it's own - doing what she knows how to do best; LIVE. I always feel such a sense of hope and promise for the rest of the year to come.

Right now the energy of the earth feels settled as if she has reached some decision about herself - change is irreversible and imminent - it seems as if a higher level of consciousness has been opened up and is spreading like a mist over the land.

It's actually an amazing part of the process of awakening that we are all witnessing.... when the earth does this, things will shift, change and move. Positive and spiritual 'Life' only responds to waves of pure consciousness.

This is going to be a most incredible year of healing and rapid spiritual growth. Hang on everybody!

3 Point Turn…..Life Changes

I can’t always say in what order my life has changed. Over the years so many things – incidents, situations, even a spoken word, has had occasion to rock my world.

Often to the core.

But, there are those very few times in life, when I made a decision or found myself in a particular predicament, where I had no choice but to discover for myself exactly what I am made of.

And I have done that, time and again.

Looking back as I often do at this time of year, I can remember times when I have not felt as strong in myself as I do right now. Or times when I really doubted I could see something through to the very end.

These were the situations that held onto me and kept me back.

I had a tendency to be surrounded by people who left me feeling fearful and doubtful and for years I would blame myself for a lack of will power, an inability to stay the course or self-sabotage.

Yet, when I distanced myself from these groups of people and the mind-set that went along with them, well I found my own mind and the rest quickly became history. Because, I finally had the energy, the courage and the fortitude to make the necessary changes to my life.

In my reflections at this time, I see strong patterns of change throughout this past decade in particular where I have made significant shifts in my thinking or mindset around certain expectations (placed on my by society, others, myself?)- which resulted in profound change in the path I am on.

Perhaps it’s as simple as making the choice, seeing it through – sticking with that new energy and then forging ahead on this new-found road.

One of the most significant decisions I (we) made as a family was to move away from modern chemical methods of treating and dealing with sickness and health. In its’ place I committed to completely adhering to all natural means of creating and maintaining health and healing.

Since the premise of any life altering, world changing shift is the fact that you don’t go back – you keep moving forward no matter what happens…..this decision pushed all of my buttons and of course I had to deal with everything that came my way, naturally.

Working my way through the fear and ill health of cancer with only my intuition to guide my healing process gave me hope, courage and a profound new respect for the powerhouse of healing stored deep within my body cells.

Another monumental shift occurred when in keeping with my no drug or chemical intervention framework a few years later, I knew I would be having my baby at home in a free birth. You can read the story for yourself here– but even 7 years on from that time, I have to say it changed me forever.

I gave birth to some part of me that day, an elemental force that had not existed on this planet in nearly forever. Perhaps not since my first incarnation before the shock of life’s hardships in this physical dimension took a toll and seared their way onto my soul.

Taking the birth of my child into my own hands – thus avoiding another surgery and MRSA infection, potential harm to myself and my baby, not to mention the indignity of it all – taught me one more thing about myself; life has a force all of it’s own and when we allow it, the living of it takes over.

Lastly, we took the decision to go it on our own without seeking, searching for or believing we needed money or jobs from sources other then what we created ourselves. Cutting ties that bound us to this just over broke endlessness, which left us feeling useless and in despair most of the time.

It was hard to feel motivated on emptiness…..so a truer sense of sustainable living was what we were after - we had to sustain ourselves with no outside help.

After all, we have education, training, many skills and brains that work (LOL), so why not find it in ourselves to make our own way in this world and stop the forced slavery of following someone else’s dream or worse, losing your dreams to nothingness.

Should be easy, right? Not! Besides, at the end of the day, we didn’t feel we had a choice….backed into a corner by the recession sorts out the reality on the ground in short order.

Come out fighting or die trying!

Not one part of any of these changes, was an easy decision or a comfortable situation to find oneself in with a family in tow – at least not in the beginning. However, like all the other intuitive, life altering leanings in my life, it is working out, we are moving forward and I am happier then before.

Perhaps, I am happier then I have ever been because I have taken back some measure of control – finally steering my own ship. Here’s hoping for smooth sailing and warm seas….

I'm Glad I Didn't Listen…..

Now, don’t get me wrong – there are indeed times I listen to others and carefully evaluate their opinions – people have various experience that I do not yet have and it is really appreciated when some advice is carefully given.

However, there are times (my family would say, all the time!) when I march to my own beat, listen to my own inner voice and don’t give a hoot about what anyone else has to say about it.

In so many instances I am so glad I didn’t listen to others and my life, my current state of happiness is living proof, that listening to myself and my own inner guidance system is what matters most.

There. I said it. Did you hear that?

It’s kind of like the computer prompt when writing in Word – it wants to change the word you are trying to write to something else….how the hell does it know what you need to say? And why on earth would you let it, or anyone for that matter, override your self-expression?

So, what has brought on all of this?

Well, this week is my anniversary (this year is 25 years together) and my constant reminder of the single most important reason in my life where I am glad I didn’t listen to absolutely anyone…..because if I had, well, we wouldn’t be together.

And, I wouldn’t be walking this spiritual path with my family. My life would have been very different and in all likelihood, I would not have made it through illnesses at all. I, we, have come through so very much and it is because we are together.

It’s a great start to the week….and I’m. Not. Listening. (smile)

Change Is In the Air....

It’s been a great summer and I don’t want it to end….perhaps because I am still trying to get caught up with the weeding LOL. So, now is the time to be finishing up those loose ends and mucking out the summer stuff…

The one word that stands out to me here is END. In lots of ways when September arrives – this signals change – some kids go back to homeschool and lessons and the seasons shift into shorter days.

These day lengths are very important to those of us walking the spiritual path for many reasons the least of which is our top up of vitamin D that keeps up healthy throughout these coming cooler (and darker) months.

So….why might I be mentioning vitamin D, light and changing seasons to those who are seeking spiritual endeavours, you might be wondering…well, travelling these roads and staying healthy has long been associated with immune system function.

There are perils and pitfalls nearly everywhere, but none as dangerous and significant as those of a spiritual nature. I have often heard it said how there is no disease but only ‘dysfunction of the spirit’ and I tend to agree.

Our physical body, spiritual essence, energetic and emotional selves are not kept separate from one another. These are integral pieces of a whole being – where if one aspect is pulled down, the entire organism suffers as a result.

One of the things I am planning to do during these last few warmish days of late summer is to exercise, get outside as much as possible, drink my herbal remedies on my fast days and to continue to enjoy the summer harvest that is emerging from the weeds…..

I am also shifting my thinking into ways and means to continue to boost my immune system over the coming darker months….perhaps I will make up a new remedy (smile).

Life Happens in it's Own Time

Taking stock of where we are at every now and then is something I do regularly… and lately it seems as if things are changing almost daily…so that’s a lot of pondering! LOL

I’ve spent a lot of time in my life planting, starting, beginning – and now I am in a place where things are finally growing. In the directions I want them to. And this is a very interesting process to be witnessing.

Re-growing your gut is a process that involves allowing lots of time and space for things to grow those deep anchoring roots. That’s one part of it…it also means stripping back to basics all the junk that went before.

And that is the difficult part for many people.

In my own experience, there is not one thing my body, mind and soul is incapable of doing. However, I have to want these changes and deep healing to take place bad enough, to see it through to the end.

Many times before I have watched people give up on themselves and I myself have walked away before things had run their natural course....but, if life has taught me anything - it is to wait it out. See what's around that next bend.

I have watched my body heal itself over the years from the top down and the inside out – and I am only just getting started. Even after all this time. Our body really does re-build and replenish completely during and 8 to 10 year lifecycle…

That for me, appears to be about right for healing and repair to take place right down to the DNA and cellular level. During this (and any) healing process it is vital to see things through to completion.

I don’t know about you – but I’ve got the rest of my life to live on this planet….so it’s been worth taking this past decade to create a healthy body, mind and spirit…because now I have even more time here living in good health.

Life happens in it's own time.... Let your life be true to you

Making Room for the Light

For so many years I have prepared for this moment – and certainly over the last decade or so, I have carefully chosen my food and made the necessary changes to my lifestyle as I healed my body. And, right now I feel deep down as if my defences are finally rising and coming into their own.

All of this work has been done on myself (body, mind and soul), in order to be strong, healthy and to have a functioning immune system not to mention all the other side benefits of mind and body connection.

So, why might this be so important you might ask? Good question! First of all, I realized quite some time ago, that our collective immune function (on the earth) was pretty near zero. We have subjected ourselves to so much in such a short period of time, our bodies have been struggling to keep up.

These toxins have done nearly everything imaginable to bring us down and then keep us down.

One thing I have known in my bones for all of my life (I am an Intuitve!LOL) is that there are viruses coming….we (the inhabitants of earth) will have to face something horrific once again.

I say again because throughout our recent history we have been devastated by several plagues, rampant bacteria (TB) as well as flu viruses that have brought millions of people into dark places and kept them there.

We need to be in working order (starting with our physical body) – or else we won’t be able to cope with these nasty bugs. And no, a vaccine won’t do….we can’t keep heaping toxins on top of toxins and wait for health to magically appear.

Where to start with giving your body and immune system a boost right now? Perhaps remove the top three toxins in your diet (look at your ‘addictions’) and find a source of clean, untreated drinking water….

However, whenever anyone asks me what is my absolute top recommendation for health (on all levels and dimensions) – I can only think of one group of toxins that must go….and that is the Deadly Nightshade (potato, tomato, aubergine, peppers, chillies, gogi berries etc.) family.

These carry the energy of death….and are completely contradictory to health, healing and any form of spiritual life. I have been Night Shade free now for several years...during which time my spirit has healed and lifted in new ways and places.

When walking the spiritual path, all energy must be considered and none is more important then the energy of our food. Perhaps it's time to remove a little darkness, to make room for the light....

It's Time to Change Our Minds....Dealing with Fear

These days my mind is focused on change….and what usually comes along with those thoughts is the deep rooted patterns of fear…we see it everywhere. Some of it we even recognize, however – there is far more that is cleverly disguised as something else altogether.

Recently I have heard it mentioned how brave someone is (ie no fear) when they have done something clearly and plainly 'out of fear'. Such as, have a drastic medical procedure….instead of taking exquisite care of their bodies, getting to know themselves better and maybe believing in their own commitment to health.

Of course there is a lot more to that as well…just ask me, I’ve been there. A few times.

I’ve faced serious illnesses and dealt with it through fear, which didn’t work and then through trust and faith in my body, mind and soul. The proof that this gentle, natural, holistic approach works, is that I’m still here! LOL

So…back to fear. Just what is this emotion we talk so much about, yet seem to find ourselves dancing around…not really ever getting to the bottom of? I think it is based on a healthy instinct (such as the fight or flight mechanism) that has gone out of control….

Or, has this innate, inborn response been hijacked by something (a virus, toxins, caffeine??) where our normal functions are overridden and blown out of proportion. When we are not in control a struggle ensues and there we have it….

More fear is generated because we are struggling with normal body processes which interfere with our mind/thinking/thoughts – and we all know how the overmind can then step in and inflate the least little thing.

It’s as if a tiny ‘normal’ fear/concern/wondering becomes blown out of context into something it clearly is not. Our systems are certainly out of whack and our minds are generating fear when they don’t need to.

So what to do about all of this? Well that’s simple!! It’s time to 'change' our mind LOL…..

You know what I will say to that…change your diet, change your gut, change your body and you change your mind. This takes dedication, time, energy and effort – but to make one significant impact on your life right now, make every effort to clean out your gut.

Get your mind back on track…

Dreams & Visions....

Today has been a great day with regards to change…not that much has altered that I can put my finger on…but things just feel as if they are different. I had an incredible dream last night as well…

Even though I dream something nearly every night of my life, there are times when an incredible dream comes along and you know it just means something special…

So, for the dream!

I was lying on the ground looking up, it was sort of like camping outside in the open, we were getting ready to sleep and I was with a group of other people. Each of us had an individual square of land, like a little plot – I could see everyone (including myself) as if I was looking from above.

The thing we were looking at or talking about, was the fact it was evening or nighttime, yet the sun was still in the sky, together with the moon on the opposite side. In the dream I was remembering the times in my childhood in Labrador when the sun dipped down, but did not set fully during the summer months…

However this sun in my dream was fairly high up in the sky, yet it was sort of dark as well.

Either way, it was a fascinating dream and I have been thinking about it all day even as I kept busy with cooking our celebration meal….but right now as I finally get a chance to sit down – I am trying to sort out/process what it might mean for me.

It was a psychic dream (the ones you have upon waking) – so something interesting is coming my way, that is for sure. Now to see what these next few days bring….

I wouldn't have wanted to miss this....A Time To Heal

And another day without rain…this is lovely and welcome! We’ve had enough ‘weather’ to last a lifetime and perhaps for some of us – those who have been going through this recession/depression – we’ve just all had enough!

I have met a few people however who tell me the recession hasn’t touched them. At all. And the first thing I feel is, well, sorry that their life is recession proof because this has been a learning curve (and a curse!) that I would not have wanted to miss.

When I look back over these last few years of great difficulty, hardship and incredible change – I also see such an opportunity for building solid relationships with our selves as well as our partners and families.

But what is more, is how resourcefulness has come back into it’s own season. At one time, long ago, nearly everyone lived their lives knowing many skills, having their hands in a little bit of everything…

And relying on their own knowledge (some of which was passed down through the ages) to see them through challenges and yes, the most fundamental life skills of feeding and healing themselves.

This has been a time of coming back into our own, re-membering all that we are and the many things we can do – starting with where we are and what we’ve got. What ever way you look at it, even if we are sitting on the bottom looking up – at least we are on the ground and all of life comes from this place.

Perhaps we have had to find ourselves here first – before real, true healing and forward movement could take place. There is something to be said for hitting the bottom, being up against the wall of any place we may find ourselves….

However it is always a starting point.
